Special CamNews

麻豆传媒映画 College is very disappointed with the international student program directives from the federal government, which devalue a college education. The federally mandated reforms are causing uncertainty for the college and students alike. This uncertainty is being felt among colleges throughout British Columbia and across Canada.听

We know that fewer international students on campus will result in less diversity in classrooms and a loss of revenue. This means we need to take a serious look at measures to avoid a deficit.听

The college is exploring actions to make up for this year鈥檚 loss of international student tuition revenue as well as the impact on the budget in future years. Immediate actions include:听

  • A focus on essential spending only.听
  • Vacant positions are to be reviewed and filled if absolutely critical.听
  • A pause on plans for this year鈥檚 dedicated service event and the winter holiday party.听

The college is carefully monitoring enrolment numbers for the Winter Term and is committed to keeping the college community informed as we move forward. We remain committed to sharing everything we know as information becomes available.听
