She waited five years before starting her post-secondary education. She came to �鶹��ýӳ�� because she saw it as a good way to test her abilities in the smaller environment than a university. “Starting my degree at �鶹��ýӳ�� really helped to build my confidence with higher education,” says Phoenix. “I learned a lot from my courses and made my mistakes in a comfortable and forgiving environment.”

She chose University Transfer because it offered enough transferable courses to university to get her started on a Bachelor of Science degree in Geography and Environmental Studies.

Phoenix had an incredibly positive experience at �鶹��ýӳ�� and a lot of that had to do with the teachers. “The best thing for me were the instructors!” says Phoenix. “I felt so invigorated and inspired by some of the great teachers I had and the content they were teaching. It made me feel like I was on the right path. I won't ever forget the impact they each had on my learning, confidence, and aspirations.”
